Mrs. Glenda Johnston Bayles Proctor, age 67, a resident of De Queen, died Thursday, August 9th in the Baptist Medical Center, Little Rock, Ark.

She was born to Johnny William and Flossie Gertrude Bradley Johnston, in Bastrop, Louisiana, on May 24, 1945. She was a retired motel manager, as well as a homemaker. She was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church, and enjoyed dancing, gardening, bowling, and cleaning.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Charles Franklin Proctor in 2009.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Darin L. and Michelle Bayles of Hutto, Texas, one daughter, Renee B. Tucker of De Queen, five grandchildren, James Tucker, III and Amber Tucker both of Prescott, Arkansas, Brianna Bayles, Austin Bayles, and Avery Bayles all of Hutto, Texas, five brothers, Johnny W. Johnston of Logansport, La., Edward Johnston of De Queen, Joe Pate Taylor of Monticello, Ark.; Bob R. Taylor and Tim Taylor both of Warren, Ark.; one sister, Pat Athey of De Queen, her children's father, Ronnie Bayles of Austin, Texas, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Glenda Proctor will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 13th in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, De Queen. Burial will follow in the Chapel Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 12th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
