Benjamin F. Deisher, 72, well-known farmer of Lewis Township, Northumberland County, committed suicide by hanging himself early Saturday morning.
A native of Delaware Township, Mr. Deisher spent almost his entire life in Lewis Township. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Turbotville.
Surviving are the following daughters and sons; Mrs. Margaret Hoffman of Muncy RD 3, with whom he resided. Mrs. Esther Eberly of Danville, Mrs. Lester (Edna) Clark of Alton, IL, Mrs. George (Sarah) Caldewell and Mrs. Herbert Lillian)Martin both of Williamsport RD, Ralph of Hughsville, Raymond of Turbotville RD, Cleaver and Roy of Muncy RD3, Lloyd of Mont Alto.
Nine grandchildren also survive and one sister Mrs. Siles Femmer.
Funeral services will be held at the home Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in charge is the Rev. Franklin Booth pastor of the First Baptist Church. Interment will be made in the Turbotville Cemetery.
