John C. Trimble
John C. Trimble, Birmingham, died at the home at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning, following an extended illness. He was born Feb. 6, 1887, at Birmingham, the son of John C. and Laura Green Trimble. On Jan. 5, 1921, at Huntingdon, he married Susan E. Smith. He had been a lifelong resident of Birmingham.
Surviving are the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Benjamin Parks, Birmingham, a grandson and a sister, Miss Mame Trimble, Birmingham. He was a member of the Birmingham Presbyterian church, a longtime member of the Birmingham borough council, currently serving in a second term; a veteran of World War I, and a member of the Tyrone VFW Post No. 4569. He was a former PRR employe.
Funeral service will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Birmingham Presbyterian church, in charge of the Rev. W. Illingworth. Burial will be in the Birmingham Presbyterian cemetery. Friends will be received at the Graham & Getz funeral home after 7 o'clock this evening and until 11 a.m. Friday and thereafter at the church. (Tyrone Daily Herald, Tyrone, PA, April 9, 1958)
