Ethel J Williams Bailey was born on February 21, 1892 in Indiana to Sylvia L Bradford Williams and James Williams. She had at least two siblings, Edith and Thomas E. She married Harley Clarence Bailey at age 16 in 1908. She lived in Richmond, Indiana with Harley, who worked as an engineer, repairman, and molder. They had four children: Richard, Louis, Jeanette, and Clarence. She died in Richmond in October 1974 at age 82.
