Life Long Resident of Bennington Dies at Hospital
Mrs. Eleanor Stratton, 88 years old and a life-long resident of this town, died at Putnam Memorial hospital this morning about a quarter of eight following an illness covering a period of about three weeks. She suffered a fall and since that time has been undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Born in Bennington, Mrs. Stratton had spent many of her years residing on the east road to Shaftsbury. She knew many people in Bennington on account of her long residence and she was a member of the Methodist church. Her husband, Lafayette Stratton, died in 1931. She is survived by one son, Myron Stratton.
