Mrs. Josephine Javins, 72, of Route 1, Box 313, Palestine, Wirt County, died Sunday in Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital, Parkersburg, after a long illness.

She was born in Ward, Kanawha County. She was a housekeeper for many years with Bauman Farms in Wirt County. She was a member of Daughters of America of Palestine.

Surviving: sons, Arthur Ray Skiles of Yukon, Okla., Carroll Wayne Javins of Palestine, James Tilden Javins of Teays Valley; daughters, Barbara Jo Eaststep of Dunbar, Mary Louise Weaver of Spencer; brothers, Berney Skiles and Byron Skiles, of Dunbar, Claude Skiles of Charleston; sisters, twin, Irene Trippett of Steubenville, Ohio, Mary Jarvis of Albany, Ind.; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

Service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Bush Funeral Home, Elizabeth, with the Rev. Bill Hutchinson officiating. Burial will be in Knights of Pythias Cemetery, Elizabeth.

Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at the funeral home and until service Tuesday at the funeral home.
