MAYFTELD, Ky., Aug. 18 (Special) Rufus B. Harris, 50, Merit Clothing Co. salesman for 32 years, died of a heart attack at his home here at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Funeral services were held at 3:30 p.m. today at Byrn Funeral Home with the Rev. James S. Gupton and the; Rev. John Huffman officiating. Burial was In Highland Park Cemetery.

Mr. Harris' territory for Merit was in South Carolina and Georgia.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Sarah Harris, a daughter, Eleanor Ann Harris, a son, Rufus Harris Jr., his mother, Mrs. Nina Harris, Mayfield; three brothers, Noble C. Harris and William Stokes Harris, Washington, and Thomas Harris, Louisville, and a sister, Mrs. Frances Farmer, Washington.
