Evelyn Tippen, 61, Hyattsville, Md., and formerly of Albion, died Sunday morning in the home of her sister Marjorie Martin in Farmington Hills, Mich.

Services will be in Ingram Funeral Home in Albion with Father Louis Peterson presiding.
Visitation will be at the funeral home with a Prayer Service.

Mrs. Tippen was born Sept. 7, 1922, in Glendine, Mont., the daughter of Fred and Dora Hodgson Furman.

She served in the Marines in WW II and then worked in Washington D.C. until her retirement from the Marines in 1978.

Survivors include two brothers, Eugene Coles, Elsegunda, Ca.; and Glen Coles, Albion; two sisters, Helen Fisher, Denver, Colo.; and Marjorie Martin, Farmington Hills, Mich.
