1926 - 2012 WALPOLE, NH Wallace E. Albro, 86, of County Road, died Thursday, July 26, 2012, at Genesis Health Care, Keene.

He was born March 26, 1926, in Coventry, R.I., son of Wilfred and Minnie (Fiske) Albro. Mr. Albro was a graduate of Coventry High School in Rhode Island. He worked for Dairy Transport as a truck driver and owned and operated a contracting business, specializing in concrete work. He owned and operated CheeverTire from which he retired. Mr. Albro was a member of the Masons and the American Legion, both of Alstead, NH. He was the owner and crew chief of the 9NH modified race team for 45 years, racing all over New England. Mr. Albro served in the Army during World War II.

On Oct. 9, 1947, he married Alice (May) Richmond Albro, who survives. He is also survived by a son, Dennis, and wife, Debbie, of Westminster, Vt., three grandchildren, Nate and Denice Morrill of Gageville, Vt. and Alissa Albro of Milton, Vt.

FUNERAL NOTICE: There will be no calling hours. A graveside memorial service will be held Aug. 4, 2012, at the Walpole Cemetery, Walpole, N.H., at 10 a.m. FENTON & HENNESSEY FUNERAL HOME, Bellows Falls, Vt., is handling the arrangements.
