"Mrs. Grace Saxton Adams, widow of the late E. V. Adams, died in Livingston, N. J., Friday of last week. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Luman Saxton of Cooperstown and a sister-in-law of Mrs. Frank C. Carpenter of Fly Creek. Both she and her husband resided in Cooperstown in their early married years and she was organist at Christ Church at that time. Mr. Adams was associated with the Belle Telephone System for much of his active business career and at the time of his retirement was railroad sales engineer for the Graybar Electric Co. of New York. Mrs. Adams was a fine musician and at one time during residence in Oklahoma City officiated at the largest church organ in the Southwest. Mr. Adams died April 10, 1955, and since that time Mrs. Adams had lived with a daughter, Mrs. Paul Cambreleng, at Livingston. She is also survived by two sons, Royal L. Adams of Hyannis, Mass. and Rodney V. Adams of Raleigh, N. C.; and a brother Vernon Saxton of Sarasota, Fla., as well as by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Livingston Tuesday, with burial at a later date beside her husband in Hartwick Seminary Cemetery."
