Little Ruby Myers Called From This World Of Strife

On Monday evening, Little Miss Ruby Myers answered the call of her Fath and went forth from this world to accept of the home prepared for her.

For the past month and a half she has been lingering at the point of death at her home in the northeast part of Spickard, and the suffering of the little soul has been heartrending to her many friends who so kindly watched at her bedside.

Ruby's sickness came on her suddenly. She was excused from school one day, took her bed that same night and never after that time was she able to arise. Almost absolute unconsciousness has attended her her from her fist day of sickness. Never for more than a few moments at a time has seen been conscious of her surroundings.

She was attended during her entire sickness by both Dr's Tracy and Pittman, and never during all this time have either of them given any positive hopes of absolute recovery. She had worn her little body to such a state of weakness that it was almost impossible for her to move a muscle. She passed away still unconscious surrounded by a host of relatives and sympathizing friends and thus ? a siege of terrible suffering.

The funeral services were held at the family home Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock, conducted by Rev. J.R. Westerman. The interment immediately followed and the body was laid to rest in the Masonic Cemetery. "Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not, for of such is the Kingdom of Heaven.

The Gazette joins with the numerous friends of the family and play mates of Little Ruby, in offering sympathy and consolation to the bereaved parents.
