Theodore Herman Arndt was born May 28, 1878, in Reynolds, Indiana, to parents Julius and Henrietta (Bohn) Arndt. He was baptized in the Lutheran faith in Indiana and confirmed at the Zion Lutheran Church in Tyro Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, by Rev. August Hillger.

He was one of the founders and organizers of the Redeemer Lutheran Church where he was an elder for over thirty years.

Mr. Arndt farmed all of his life and upon retirement moved into Boyd where he lived the rest of his life. The past few months, he spent at the Dawson Nursing Home, Dawson, Minnesota.

He entered eternal life on Saturday, April 25, 1970, at the Dawson Hospital, at the age of 91 years. He was the last surviving member of his family.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father; three brothers: Emil of Lafayette, Indiana, Edward and Charles of Boyd; four sisters: Theresa (Mrs. Charles Ruf), Minnie and Ida (Mrs. Olaf Frederickson), all of Boyd.

He leaves to mourn his death one niece, Mrs. Arnold Wold of Dawson; four nephews: Walter Arndt of Boyd, Robert Arndt of Lake White Waverly in Ohio, James Frederickson of Minneapolis, John Robert Frederickson of Long Beach, California; grand nieces and grand nephews, cousins and friends, especially Mrs. Delores Frederickson who made her home with Theodore for the past 18 years.
