Mrs. Venus Wood Anderson, 59, of 2232 North Missouri, died at 12:45 p.m. yesterday in Burge Hospital after a short illness. She is survived by her husband, Webster S. Anderson; one son, Samuel Richard Anderson of Hollywood; her mother, Mrs. E. M. Fix of 2126 North Main; one sister, Mrs. Grace Plympton of LaRussell, Mo. Mrs. Andreson was a member of the Woodland Heights Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Anderson was born in Forsyth, but spent most of her life in Springfield. He father was the late Samuel G. Wood, for many years an attorney with offices on Commercial Street. She was a member of the Post Office Clerk's Auxiliary. Her husband is a long-time employe of the Springfield Main post office.
