Ira Daniel "Paw Paw" Blevins, 77 of Moss Point fought the good fight, finished the race, kept the faith and recieved his crown of righteousness on Monday, March 28, 2011, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born May 5, 1933 in Goodwill, West Virginia. At a young age he worked in the West Virginia coal mines. In 1950 at the age of 17 he joined the Army and served his country in the Korean War. He then moved to Cincinatti, Ohio where he worked at Ford Motor Company, before moving with his family to Mississippi in 1955. He worked at West Brothers Trucking Company until the company was sold. He then worked at Ingalls Shipbuilding where he retired in 1988. I.D. was a member of Eastside Assembly of God. He was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend and will be sadly missed by his loving family and many friends.

I.D. was preceded in death by his wife Corrine Blevins, son George Blevins, parents Houston and Cora(Privett) Blevins, two sisters Helen Wright and Louetta Blevins and six brothers Jessie, Arthur, Wilburn, George Lee, Chester and Cecil Blevins.

He is survived by his son Gary Blevins, four grandchildren Shad(Amy) Blevins, Brandon(Karen) Blevins, Daniel(Kayla Lewis) Blevins and Holly Blevins. Six great-grandchildren Brandon Lee Blevins, Chase Blevins, Aubrey Blevins, Bree Blevins, Brittney Wiggins and Lauran Wiggins. One sister Opal(Avon) Graham and one brother Lester Janet Blevins. Other relatives and many friends.
