Myrtle M. Hartwig, 101, Algoma, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2005, at Algoma Long Term Care Unit. She was born June 12, 1904, in Kolberg to the late Edward and Christina (Wagner) Richmond. She married Edward Hartwig Feb. 26, 1931, in Michigan. Myrtle stayed at home and raised her family. Edward preceded her in death May 13, 1974. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid, Golden Age Club and the Senior Citizen's Club. She is survived by one daughter, two sons, nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Stanley Langer, Algoma; and many nieces and nephews. She was further preceded in death by two daughters, two grandchildren and two brothers. Funeral held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Algoma, on Aug. 11, 2005, with the Rev. Christopher Johnson officiating. Burial in the Evergreen Cemetery, Algoma. The SCHINDERLE FUNERAL HOME, Algoma, assisted the family with the arrangements.
