Mother of Medal of Honor recipient, Wayne Maurice Caron who was killed in action in 1968 in the Viet Nam War.

Lorraine and her husband Aime Caron served as sponsors of the USS Caron DD 970 the ship named after their son Wayne Caron. They served as sponsors for the life of the ship and were active in the ship's crew life from commissioning to decommissioning.
