Roy L. Fassett, age 85, passed away August 2, 2012. Born in Oregon, Ohio on May 8, 1927 to Caroline (Abt) and Ray Fasset. Preceded in death by brother, Raymond (Oneida) Fasset; sisters, Rita (Dale) Miller and Ruth (Earl) Cousino, and nephew, John Miller (Sally). He is survived by Kent Parton (Loretta) and many nieces and nephews.

Roy served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War stationed in Guam. After his service, he worked as an electrician for 40 years at Sun Oil, retiring in 1983. He will be deeply missed. Roy's service was held yesterday at North Oregon Cemetery.

FASSETT Roy L. Roy L. Fassett, age 85, passed away August 2, 2012. Born in Oregon, Ohio on May 8, 1927 to Caroline (Abt) and Ray Fassett. Preceded in death by brother, Raymond (Oneida) Fassett; sisters, Rita (Dale) Miller and Ruth (Earl) Cousino, and nephew, John Miller (Sally). He is survived by Kent Parton (Loretta) and many nieces and nephews. Roy served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War stationed in Guam. After his service, he worked as an electrician for 40 years at Sun Oil, retiring in 1983. Roy had an awesome life, and he touched many people with his kindness and intelligence. He was a father figure to many. Some of the things Roy loved were computers, racing go-carts in his backyard, his winning racehorse "Katy's My Baby", many rock and roll musical groups, especially Pink Floyd, river fishing in Beulah County, MI, the University of Toledo Rocket basketball program under coach Bobby Nichols, trips to Cedar Point, and especially traveling with his brother, Bud, and father, Ray.
