Will of Samuel A. Barkley.
I, Samuel A. Barkley, being in a low condition and being sensible that my last end cannot be far distant and being of a sound and disposing mind, do make this my last will and testament namely;
First, I desire all my just debts to be paid. Second, I will to my son, Wellington, in addition to the east half (l/2) of the quarter section Upon which he is now living twenty acres (20 acres) of the same quarter and adjoining making one hundred acres. Third, the balance of this quarter I will to my daughter, Jane Jones, and my granddaughter, Silas Ann Barkley, to be equally divided between them.
Fourth, I will to my daughter, Matilda, my homestead quarter which is bounded by the lands of W.H. Wiseman, Henry Smith, and others-except thirty acres (30 acres) of this quarter or its equivalent which I give to my daughter, Mary Ann Hill, the said thirty (30) acres not to include the improvements.
Fifth, I give to my daughter, Adaline Barry, the eighty (80) acres upon which she is now living.
Sixth, I have already given to my sons, John and George or Dock all I allow them. Seventh, I give all my personal effects as monies due, rent of lands re to my daughter, Matilda, except so much as is consumed in the payments of my debts and expenses.

Personally appeared before me T. A. Huint, Clerk of the Canery Court of said county, S. v. Riddlesperger, A. T. Seawright, and w. H. Wiseman, subscribing witnesses to the foregoing instrument purporting to be the Last Will and Testament of Samuel A. Barkley, deceased, who being first duly sworn depose and say that said Samuel A. Barkley signed, sealed, published and declared said instrument to be his last Will and Testament in their presence on the day of the same bears date, to wit.Will of Samuel A. Barkley.
