Mom has fond memories of him playing the accordion. I'm sorry I never met him. She would accompany him to care for his families graves, plant flowers, etc. I am so happy to be able to care for his online memorial.

HERMAN J. LINDRUS
DOLLAR BAY – Herman J. Lindrus, 60, a former Copper County resident, was pronounced dead on arrival at the South Macomb Hospital in Warren, Mich. following a long illness.
He was born May 10, 1911, in Redridge, a son of Anna and Alexander Lindrus, and was reared in Dollar Bay. He lived for a few years in Houghton and for the past 20 years had made his home in the Detroit area. He attended the Dollar Bay Public School.
Mr. Lindrus had worked for the Sutter Cut Stone Co. in Detroit until illness forced his retirement.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Elaine Adams and Mrs. Wenonah Lindsey of San Diego, Calif; six grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Edward (Silvia) Rautio of Highland Park, Mrs. Mary Olson of Robbinsdale, Minn, and Mrs. William (Hilma) Komula of Hancock; two brothers, John Lindrus of Nisula and Arne Lindrus of Detroit; an aunt, Mrs. Linnea Kujala in Tampere, Finland; an uncle, Herman Noponen in Tampere, Finland, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in St. Henry's Lutheran Church in Nisula, the Rev. Keith Nelson to officiate. Burial will be in the Nisula Cemetery.
The body will be taken to the church at 12 noon Saturday from the Jukuri Funeral Home where friends may call after 3 p.m. Friday.
