MONTICELLO, Miss.,P. V. Lambert, well-known citizen of Lawrence county, died at his home near Monticello of pneumonia, following measles. He had been sick for about two weeks.
He was the son of John C. Lambert, formerly a
member of the board of supervisors of Lawrence county. The deceased was 48 years of age and had been engaged in the saw-mill business and in farming for a number of years. Besides his wife and seven children he leaves a number of friends and relatives and ten orphan children he was caring for as a
foster-father.
Interment took place in the Lambert cemetery near Monticello. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. W. J. Dawson, pastor of the Monticello Methodist Church.
