Second daughter of Robert Johnson Blair and Sarah Elizabeth Wilson Blair. She married first John Swain, son of William and Sallie Swain, 8 May 1897 in Lassen County, California where they lived for their married life. Adelia and John had at least four children: William Robert Swain, born January 24, 1898, died Feb 26, 1982; Albert, born April 1899; Freddie, born about 1911 and Roy born about 1917, all born in California.

After John's death in 1912 and before 1920, Adelia married Marvin (Marden?) Vann. They can be found in the 1920 census, Lassen County, California. By 1930, Adelia is living with her son, Albert, and his wife, Ruth O. in Lassen County. By the 1940 census, Adelia had moved in with her brother, Frank, and their nephews, Robert and Frank Sloan, in Reno, Washoe County, Nevada where she died. She is buried in the family plot between her mother and nephew Robert.
