Joseph Luksan, Sr., of Edwardsville route 3, a farmer, died Monday at 3:30 p.m. at his residence.
He was born March 17, 1890, in Czechoslovakia, the son of the late Tony and Mary Luksan. He was married to Miss Mary Schlemer July 18, 1910, in this city. Mrs. Luksan survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Anton and Joseph Luksan, Jr.; three daughters, Mrs. Christine Deppe, Mrs. Helen Schwear and Miss Jennie Luksan of this city; one sister, Mrs. Anna Popidich of St. Paul, Minn., and two grandchildren.
He was a member of the CSA lodge.
Friends may call at the Straube funeral home after 7 p.m. Tuesday until Thursday at 2 p.m. when final rites will be held from the funeral home with Frank Novak in charge of the services.
Interment will be in Buck Road cemetery.
