FROSTBURG — Anna Harriman Taccino, 92, of Frostburg, died Friday, June 29, 2007, at WMHS Frostburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born Dec. 11, 1914, in Eckhart, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Bannatyne) Harriman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael J. Taccino; brothers, Glenn, Ralph, John and Jim; and sisters, Emma and Bessie. Mrs. Taccino was the last surviving member of her family. Mrs. Taccino was employed for 33 years at the Celanese Corp. She was a collector and restorer of antique dolls. She was a charter member of the Maryland Mountain Doll Club. Surviving are sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Joe Mills, Frostburg; brother-in-law, Everett Warne, Frostburg; sister-in-law, Emma Montana, Frostburg; sister-in-law, Mary Taccino, Baltimore; sister-in-law, Mae Harriman, Frostburg; and numerous nieces and nephews. At the request of Mrs. Taccino, she will be cremated. Friends will be received at Sowers Funeral Home, P.A., Frostburg, on Sunday, July 1, 2007, from noon to 2 p.m. with funeral services following at 2 p.m. with the Rev. T. William Preston officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the Allegany County Animal Shelter, 716 Furnace St., Cumberland, MD 21502. The family would like to thank the staff at the WMHS Frostburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the excellent care Anna received during her stay at the nursing home.
