Betty Middleton Fleming, 70, of Prophetstown died Wednesday, June 18, 2003, at Pleasant View Nursing Home, Morrison. She was employed by General Electric Co., Morrison, for 35 years, retiring in 1995,
Mrs. Fleming was born March 15 1933, in Fergus Falls, Minn., the daughter of James and Alice (Copeland) Middleton. She married Frank Fleming on April 11, 1975, in Prophetstown.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Jeannie (John) Richmond of Prophetstown and Kathy (Dale) Beachy of Sterling, four sons, Stephen (Debra) Marweg of Morrison, Gerald (Cindy) Marweg of Gait and Pierce (Donna) Moore and Marty (Shelly) Moore, both of Prophetstown; three step-daughters, Lisa (Bill) Burrow of Philmont, N.Y, Sheila (Guy) Edge of Sterling and Angela (Tom) Willett of Rock Falls, 28 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, a granddaughter and a great-granddaughter.
The funeral is at 10 am. Saturday at Lyndon United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Scott Porter, pastor of Abiding Word Christian Center, Sterling, officiating. Burial is at Lyndon Cemetery. Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. today at Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Prophetstown.
