According to pg. 38 of the Skinner/Rush family tree by Harry Speer Rush, which was probably compiled in the 1930's and is in the genealogy collection of the Perry Co. Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society, Samuel was born 20 Sept. 1806. That material says that his father Nathaniel Rush, who owned a mill in early Perry Co., OH, was from Bedford Co., PA. It has Nathaniel b. 25 Sept. 1777 and says he died 20 Dec, 1820 in Perry Co., OH.
Samuel Rush and Sarah Ann Powell were married 28 November 1827 in Perry Co., OH, according to the Perry County Male Marriage Index, 1818-1914. Their marriage was recorded in Vol. 1, pg. 91.
