Mrs. R. N. Breitkteutz died at the family home, west of Hamilton, Thursday morning, Nov. 22, 1917. Mrs. Breitkreutz had not been in good health for some time, but the family or community were not prepared for the sudden summons when it came.
Nannie Rachel Lang was born in Germany, March 31, 1861. She came to Holton, Kans., in 1882, where she lived some years, there becoming a member of the Presbyterian Church. Later she was married to R. N. Breitkreutz and to this union four children, who survive, were born, Fred, Florence, Frank and Ross, who with the husband are left to mourn the loss of a loving, kind and faithful wife and mother. She also leaves a sister Pauline Breitkreutz of Kansas City, and a brother, Gottlieb Lang, of Buffalo, N. Y., beside a host of friends in this cvommunity where she has lived for the past 13 years.
The funeral was held at the family residence Friday afternoon, Rev. C. L. Fesler officiating, after which the body tenderly laid to rest beside other relatives in the Hamilton cemetery.
