Sheldon Ray (Square Head) Hatch, also known as "Hard Head" died Friday, July 27, 2012 in Sierra Vista. He was 72 years young. He was born Nov. 17, 1939 in Holbrook.
Ray loved to travel with his companion, Judy Mclchisedech. They traveled the world and he enjoyed every minute. He also enjoyed going places with his family and friends. He owned his own business, Grade Line Construction in Heber.
Surviving Sheldon are his children: Shelly (Tommy) Cosby of Hereford, Stacy Hughs of Mesa and Justin R.(Collette) Prather of Chandler.
Ray had four brothers: Jerald Hatch, Danny Hatch, Lynn R. Hatch, and Lenn Hatch, as well as their respective wives Colleen, Luanna, Sarita, and Mickey. He is also survived by five grandchildren and five great-grand children.
"My father, Ray, enjoyed the Eagles Lodge of Heber. He was very proud to be a part of their organization. I want to say thank you, Eagles, for the card. He loved it."
Ray Hatch was preceded in death by his father, Sheldon G. and Mother Iren Hatch, two sisters: Sherina, and Doris, and grandson Lee Cosby.
Funeral services for Sheldon will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012 at the Reed Hatch Cemetery in Taylor. He will be placed next to his grandson, Everett Thomas Strawn Lee Cosby.
