Funeral services for Harold Wilson Thompson, 50, Rentz Route 1, will be held
Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. The Rev.
Neal Wall will officiate and Townsend Brothers Funeral Home will direct
arrangements. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Thompson died suddenly at his home Saturday night. He was a native of
Bleckley County, but had been a lifelong resident of the Rentz-Cadwell
communities. He was an employee of the State Highway Department and was a
member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church near Rentz.
He was the son of the late Jim Thompson and the late Barbara Willis Thompson of Laurens County and is survived by his wife, the former Miss Orgenola Warren of Rentz; one sons, James T. Thompson of Dublin. One brother, A. L. Thompson of Cadwell; four sisters, Mrs. J. O. Knight of Dublin, Mrs. Tyrus Sapp and Mrs. Maude Glesson of Cadwell and Mrs. T. J. Jones of Whistler, Ala.
