Rev. Squire Chase was the son of Lemuel and Amy (Horton) Chase. Julia (Rogers) Chase was his 1st wife. They were married about 1825 and she died November 25, 1830. Lydia (Belding) Chase was his 2nd wife. They were married about 1831 and she died November 9, 1889. He was a minister in the Genesee (now Western New York) Conference, Oneida Conference, Black River Conference and Liberia Mission Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church.
