Passed away Saturday, March 24, 2007, at Midland Hospital. Age 75 years. The son of the late Harold and Martha (Orser) Sanderson was born June 19, 1931 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Margerie Popp, November 29, 1952. She passed away September 8, 1992. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a truck driver for over 40 years, retiring from Consolidated Freight with 20 years of service.
Surviving are two daughters and one son, Pamela Sanderson and her friend Tom Cross, Kimberly Zuzula and her friend John Johnson, all of Bridgeport, MI; Michael Sanderson and his wife Patricia, AuTrain, MI; eight grandchildren, Chelsea and Mitchell Duncan, Jeramie and Angela Maxwell, Caylee Maxwell, Donald and Leighann Zuzula, Zachary Zuzula and his fiancee, Leah Kischnick, Adam, Amanda and Tyler Sanderson; three great-grandchildren, Emma Wright, Cole Duncan and August Maxwell; one sister, two brothers, Doris Bonk and her husband Robert, Donald Sanderson and Ronald Sanderson; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. A daughter, Cheryl Wright, three brothers, Harold, LeRoy (Max) and Kenneth Sanderson and a sister Betty Schmidt, have predeceased him.
The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2007, at the W.L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 5700 Dixie Hwy. Rev. Ronald L. Sinclair will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friend may call at the chapel from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the Alzheimer's Association or the American Cancer Society.
