Descendant of Jacob Brookover

George W. Brookover, 85, died early Tuesday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Cora B. Herrmann, 1716 North Ninth Street.
Mr. Brookover was a Civil War veteran, joining the Tenth Kentucky volunteer cavalry, serving in Kentucky, Tennessee and West Virginia.
He was born in Adams county, Ohio, and living in Carroll county, Missouri for some 50 years, coming to Boise in March ,1929. He was a member of the First Methodist Church of Boise. He is survived by one son, S.E. Brookover, and four daughters, Mrs. Cora B. Herrmann of Boise, Mrs. E. J. Jenkins of Twin Falls, Mrs. Henry Herrmann, Jr. of Columbus, Ohio and Mrs. D.E. Penny of Braman, Oklahoma. The body is at the Summers & Krebs chapel and funeral arrangements will be announced later.
