THOMAS COLEMAN was reared in Louisville, and in early life attended
school at that place. He later attended college in Cincinnati, Ohio, and also at Bardstown, Ky., and obtained a good education. In 1854 he went to Henry County and turned his attention to agricultural pursuits. In 1871 he purchased his present farm of 300 acres, which is well improved with fine residence and situated in Pendleton. November 2, 1870, he was united in marriage with Fannie Barbour, a daughter of William E., and Harriet Barbour, of Henry County. Mr. Coleman and his wife are members of the Methodist Episcopal Church South. He died intestate.
