Tubercular Meningitis Causes Death of Mrs. Myrtle Ford, Formerly of Vinco

Vinco, Aug. 29. - Mrs. Myrtle Mackall Ford, wife of George Ford, died at her home in Juniata, a suburb of Altoona, last Saturday morning, aged eighteen years, seven months, and four days. Mrs. Ford was a daughter of Postmaster and Mrs. James Mackall, of this place. The cause of her death was tubercular meningitis. Her mother was at her bedside during her illness, which lasted three weeks.

The deceased was born at South Fork on January 20, 1889, and was married at Ebensburg in May this year to George Ford, who is an employee of the Pennsylvania Railroad Company. Mr. and Mrs. Ford went to housekeeping in Juniata soon after their marriage. Besides her husband, Mrs. Ford is survived by her parents, three brothers and three sisters, viz: Millard, Sherman, and Clay, and Misses Carrie, Mary Jane, and Daisy Mackall, all of this place. Her mother's maiden name was Amelia Hildebrand.

The remains were brought to Vinco Saturday evening and taken to the Mackall home. The funeral took place at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon from Wesley Chapel, where services were conducted by the Rev. George Jones, pastor of the Windber Brethren Church. Interment was made in the chapel cemetery. Mrs. Ford was a member of the Brethren Church of this place.
