Born in Cranston, he was the son of gthe late Albert J. Stockard Jr. and Mabel E. (Harris) Stockard.
Mr. Stockard was a mechanical engineer and worked at Wright Aeronatical Corp, as a project engineer for fuel metering devices for B-29 airplancws during World War II. Mr. Stockard was an engineering Professor and later the Director of career planning and placement until his retirement in 1978.
A Memorial service was held on August 16, 2012 in he Wakefield Baptist Chruch in South Kingstown.
