PVT Sidney A. Ezzell, son of Mr. & Mrs. A.K. Ezzell, was born Aug. 8, 1925 at Wilson OK and attended Cement OK High School. He was inducted into the service at Oklahoma City on Jan. 18, 1944 and received his training at Ft. Sill OK, Camp Howze TX, Ft. McClelland AL and Ft. George Meade MD. PVT Ezzell sailed for the ETO on Aug 22, 1944, and served with Co. K, 60th Inf., 9th Div., 1st Army. He was reported missing on Oct. 20, 1944, in Germany.

He was awarded the Purple Heart, Combat Infantryman Badge, Expert Gunner, Sharpshooter Badge, Expert Hand Grenade.
