ELMIRA (Hafer) WAYNE, 82, widow of John Wayne, died at the home of her grand-daughter, Mrs. William Speace, jr., Ontelaunee township, near Leesport. Surviving are six children, James, near Van Reed's Paper Mill; Katie, widow of William Sheidy, who will be buried on Saturday; Samuel, Ontelaunee township; Annie, wife of Frederick Daubert, Reading; Daniel, Stonersville, and Ella, wife of Clarence Eyrich, Erie, Ill.; 25 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, one brother, Samuel Hafer, Centerport, and three sisters, Mary, widow of Henry Schell, Reading; Katie, widow of John Coldren, Riverside, and Anna, widow of William Kulp, West Lawn.
She was a member of the Reformed con-gregation of Belleman's church. Funeral services Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at Naftzinger funeral home, Centerport. Further services in Belleman's church. Internment in adjoining cemetery.
