Charles F. Hartmann, age 100, formerly of Kiel, died Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Homestead Care Center, New Holstein where he resided the past 5 years.

He was born, January 9, 1912 in rural Kiel, son of the late Herman & Maria (Lauress) Hartmann.

On May 3, 1941 he married Arelisle "Dolly" Sperb in Kiel.

Dolly preceded him in death on September 4, 1992.

Charles worked at AA Laun Furniture for a number of years until his retirement.

He was a member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Kiel and the Holy Name Society.

Survivors include two children: Charles (Betty) Hartmann, Kiel, Charleen (Tim) Weborg, Gills Rock,

grandchildren; Kristine (Chad) Govin and their children, Keegan, Connor & Alexis, Lynne (Leon) Voight and their daughter, Brianna, Darcie Weborg and her son, Eric. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents,wife, four sisters and two brothers.

The funeral Mass for Charles will be celebrated at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 413 Fremont St., Kiel with Rev. Loren Nys S.D.S. officiating and Joe Zenk, Parish Director assisting.

Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.
