Funeral services for Ira Jones will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Konantz Chapel with Rev. Ray Nitcher officiating. Burial will be in Uniontown Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 3:30 to 9 o'clock tonight at the Konantz Chapel.

Mr. Jones died Friday night at Harriman, Tenn. He was born at Uniontown, July 26, 1893, the son of James Wallace and Frances Anderson Jones. He married Ellen Kirker on Nov. 7, 1906, at Uniontown. They farmed in the Uniontown area and Mr. Jones later operated a cream station and grocery at Uniontown. The couple later moved to Fort Scott where he was a salesman. Mrs. Jones died Feb. 23, 1965.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. James (Wilma) McCord of Kingston, Tenn; a sister, Mrs. Elsie Bowles of Uniontown; a brother, George Jones of Geary, Okla.; and four grandchildren....The Fort Scott Tribute January 22, 1973.
