Roxanne M. Essing, 49, of Fort Dodge, died Monday, July 30, 2012 at her home.


Roxanne is survived by her children, Tiffany (Jeremy) Urelius and Anthony (Danielle) Essing; her grandchildren, Ethan Estlund, Andrew, Hope and Logan Urelius, Jordan Martin, Autumn and Daniel Essing, and Carter and Mya Essing; her siblings, Alecia (Doug) Borer, Harry (Cindy) Anderson, Sue Anderson (Craig Essing); many nieces and nephews and her special friend Brad Kuhn. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lois and Richard Anderson, her daughter Dinine Anderson, and granddaughters, Zipporah Essing and Serenity Urelius.
Roxanne Marie Anderson Essing, the daughter of Richard Lowell and Lois Ellen (Rowe) Anderson, was born August 16, 1962 in Sioux City, Iowa and graduated from Northwest Webster High School in 1980. She was married to Mark Essing, whom she was fond of calling 'Captain' in September, 1982 and they separated several years later. She lived all over Iowa and a couple years in Austin, Minnesota. She always considered her hometown to be Barnum, Iowa. Roxanne had many jobs; many of them in which she did cooking, which she loved to do. She also was a nurse's aide and worked for a turkey plant with her dad. She even volunteered cooking for the Salvation Army. She loved to spend time with family and extended family and friends and loved to go on walks with her dog Hiatchi. Roxanne loved to watch movies and do her arts and crafts including crotcheting and clay models.
