Mrs. C. F. Kahre, 88, who spent a year with her daughter, Mrs. Laura Shewmon, in Kokomo and made many friends while living here, died at 11 pm Saturday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Esther Bollmer, Vincennes. Mrs Kahre's husband, Charles Kahre, died in 1933 in Bicknell, and since that time Mrs. Kahre had made her home with her children. Other surviving children are a daughter, Mrs Raymond Wilson of Gary; three sons, Dr Raymond of Peru, Elmer Kahre of Sandborn, Ind., and Carl Kahre of Birmingham, Ala. Nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive. Mr. and Mrs. Kahre lived on a farn near Bicknell many years. The body was taken to the McClure Funeral Home in Bicknell. Services will be held Tuesday afternoon at the Bethel Evangelical Church at Freelandville, Ind. followed by burial in the cemetery there. ---submitted by contributor MVC (46923575)
