Cratus Douthitt, 69, of Henrietta, TX, passed away Sunday, June 20, 2010 in Wichita Falls, TX. A memorial graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at Hope Cemetery in Henrietta, TX with Rev. Howard Walker, pastor of the First Christian Church, Henrietta, TX, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis Funeral Home in Henrietta , TX . Mr. Douthitt was born November 10, 1940 in Wichita Falls, TX to Ambrose Christian and Elizabeth Phillip (Imhoff) Douthitt. He had served in the U.S. Army Reserves. He married Carol Harris in 1972 in Henrietta, TX. He was a rancher and a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church in Henrietta, TX and the Elks Lodge in Wichita Falls, TX. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Douthitt on March 20, 2002. Survivors include his son, Will Douthitt and wife Tracy of Henrietta, TX; 2 grandchildren, Corbin Douthitt and Ashlyn Douthitt of Henrietta, TX; brother, Frank Douthitt and wife Sandy of Henrietta, TX; and niece, Amy Maddux and husband Cort of Houston, TX. Memorials may be made to the Clay County Historical Society of Henrietta, P. O. Box 483, Henrietta, TX 76365.
