Lavonne was born April 30, 1940 in Lovell to Rulon Dalley Jones and Mildred (Sanders) Jones. She grew up in the Big Horn Basin and attended the Burlington and Greybull schools.
Lavonne married Alfred Leslie Allen on Aug. 22, 1969 in Evanston. Alfred passed away on Sept. 18, 1990.
Lavonne was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She enjoyed camping, doing genealogy and spending time with her family. Lavonne's family meant the world to her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rulon and Mildred Jones; her husband, Alfred Leslie Allen; three brothers; one sister; one son; and one grandson.
Lavonne is survived by her sons, Brad Allen of Lyman and Troy (Keisha) Allen of Rapid City, S.D.; daughters, Gail Allen of Powell, Joan (Rob) Cooper of California City, Calif.; Cindy (Floyd) Wixom of Hayden, Colo. and Timi (Mike) Fronaphel of Lingle; one brother, Reuben Jones of Santa Maria, Calif.; sisters, Irene Johnson of Richmond, Utah, Ruth Ledford of Greybull and Joy Shaw of Denver, Colo.; 24 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service was held Monday, July 30 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints between Basin and Greybull. Bishopric First Counselor Vic Strube conducted the service. Burial took place in the Otto Cemetery in Otto.
