Terry was born March 28, 1934, in Sabetha, Kan., to Lester and Arretta Chambers Warfel. She married Arnold Bern in Seward, Alaska, in 1951. She later married Theodore Walkup in Reno, Nev., on July 16, 1988. She lived in the Eugene area for 38 years.
She had worked in the dry cleaning business and was a homemaker. She enjoyed dancing, golf, travel, cooking and flower gardening. She especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was a member of the Eagles Lodge.
Survivors include her husband, Theodore; two sons, Steven Bern and Gary Bern, both of Eugene; a daughter, Pam Miller of Springfield; two stepsons, John Walkup and Theodore Walkup Jr., both of Eugene; two brothers, Mack Warfel of Eugene and Wills Warfel of California; a sister, Celia of California; 11 grandchildren and a great-grandchild. A stepdaughter, Joanie Jones, died previously.
England's Eugene Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
