Fred became an employee of a lumber company at Bay City and was injured in one of the sawmills two years later, which incapacitated him for the rest of his life. (History of Bay County, A.N. Gansser, 1905 Page 686).
There was some confusion regarding place of burial. Fred's obituary states "the German-Lutheran Cemetery" which is Green Ridge. But his wife's obituary, 4 years earlier, states she was buried in "Pine Ridge Cemetery " (just across Tuscola road).
Access to BCHS Sexton Records shows they are both buried in Green Ridge, Lot #1704.
