Joe "Red" Williams, 67, long time Honey Grove resident went to his heavenly home Thursday morning, July 26, 2012 at his earthly home here in Honey Grove.

Funeral services will be 10:00A.M. Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Honey Grove, Texas. Rev. Terry Cunningham and Larin Limbaugh will preside. Pallbearers, Randy Jones, Joel Meade, Ross Pry, Michael Moore, Louie Williams, Jr., Bryan Maynard, Lynn Reese and Steve Meade.

Honorary Pallbearers, Fred Fore, Thomas Holmes, Kenneth Jones, Charles Melton, Billy Bob Aycock, Rick McKee, Wilton Edington and posthumously, Charles Simpson.

Burial will follow services at Dial Cemetery in the Dial Community south of Honey Grove. The family will receive friends 7 to 8P.M. Friday evening July 27, 2012 at the funeral home chapel in Honey Grove.

Joe Magness Williams was born Dec. 14, 1944 in Honey Grove to parents Eugene and Flora Inez Williams. He married Mary Opal Allen Williams Nov. 21, 1962 in Glory, Texas. Red as most people knew him owned and operated Williams Drywall Co. and was well known for his expertise in his craft in several surrounding counties. He was a member of the Honey Grove Cowboy Church.

Red was very active in the Honey Grove Roundup Club and he also worked with the youth in team roping He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and three brothers.

He is survived by his loving family including his wife, Mary of the home, son, Roger Allen of Honey Grove; daughter, Sheila and her husband Carl Kinard of Honey Grove; son, Joe Williams of Paris; Grandchildren, Ashley Pedigo, Chris and Courtney Reese of Honey Grove; Mandy and Logan McKenzie of Denton; Ronnie and Julie Kinard of Dodd City; Larissa Williams of Bonham; Chandler Williams of Honey Grove, and Chesney Williams of Paris; Great Grandchildren, Carrie Kinard, Kameryn Kinard, Kynlie Kinard, Avery Reese, Nolan Reese and Maddy McKenzie and many nephews and nieces.
