Born in Dooly County, he was the son of the late Walter Dorminy and Retha Waggoner Dorminy. He was US Army veteran and a retired mechanic.
Survivors:
son, Jerry Dorminy of Pinehurst; sisters-in-law, Christine Durham of Wrens and Helen Dorminy of Pinehurst; brother-in-law, Marvin Lacy of Columbus.
His brothers, Lonnie and Quentin Dorminy, preceded him in death.
Graveside services will be at 1:00 PM Wednesday in Pinehurst City Cemetery.
