A Ford auto salesman for over 40 years, he was employed at Key Motors. He was a member of the 500 Club, an honorary organization of Ford's top salesmen. He managed the American Legion Junior Baseball League here for many years. President of the Crusader Sunday School Class, Strong was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ. Surviving are his wife, a daughter, a son, a sister, five brothers, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral was held at Alexander West Chapel, Dr. Arthur Newell was the officiate.
