Morine was born in Keota, Colorado to Emmet Bealman Short and Mary Ellen Creel Short. Morine was a twin (brother Mitchell – deceased at 6 months of age) and lived her early life on the homestead at Keota. She married John Galloway at age 15 and they had two girls, Bertha (died at birth) and Rosanne. They divorced in 1939. She married William H. Horton March 22, 1940, in Hardin, Montana. They divorced shortly thereafter. She married Stanley J. (Steve) Sieczkowski November 2, 1940, in Billings, Montana. From that marriage Stanley, Laura (deceased) and Edward were born. They moved from Sheridan, Wyoming to Post Falls, Idaho in 1954. Steve died in 1965 while working on the railroad in Post Falls, Idaho. Morine moved to Colorado in 1978 and then to Alaska in 1984 to live with her son Stanley and family. She then was reacquainted with Paul Malyurek and was married in 1986. They lived in Boise, Idaho then moved to Hayden Lake, Idaho. Paul died 1993. Morine died in Alaska while visiting with her son, Stanley and family. Morine enjoyed her family and her lifestyle of being busy. She loved to drive and travel. She was an accomplished musician and played the guitar and accordion. She liked to help others in and through her church activities.
