Benjamin Modlin/Maudlin is the son of Mark Maudlin and Hannah Esther Worrell. He married Mary Chase Child, October 13, 1831 in Washington County, Indiana. In 1853 the family moved from Indiana to Xenia, Clay, Illinois. Mr. Modlin was enumerated in the 1880 census,(June 14, 1880), where he states he is a blacksmith. Mr. Modlin died sometime after that date. It is not known if it was 1880, but this is a date being used in family histories. Cemetery is unknown.
