OBITUARY

Amanda A. Larkin was born February 13, 1863, and died in Burnside township, October 18, 1906, aged 43 years, 8 months, 5 days. She was married to Samuel Showers August 10, 1885, coming with him to this county a few years ago, and living the past three years on the old Elias Scott place north of Dayton. She was the mother of nine children, six sons and three daughters, one daughter having preceded her into the world beyond. Her funeral services were held on Friday afternoon from the home, Rev. Muhleman of Grace M. E. church conducting the exercises, and her remains were laid to rest in Dayton cemetery. She had made a host of friends during her residence in this vicinity, whose sympathy is extended to the afflicted family in their hour of sorrow.
